Post to TikTok from ChatGPT

How it works

1. ChatGPT calls list_channels to find your TikTok channel.
2. It calls get_channel_rules to learn the TikTok limit, media needs and settings.
3. It writes the post and runs check_post, which returns any rule problems.
4. It picks a time with find_free_slot if you did not give one, shows you the post, and calls schedule_post after you say yes.

TikTok rules ChatGPT follows

• Every post needs 1 video or up to 35 photos. Captions can be up to 2,200 characters.
• Photo posts can have a title of up to 90 characters.
• Apps not yet audited by TikTok can only post as "Only me".
• Send to the TikTok inbox as a draft to add a sound in the app before you publish. No follow-up comments.

Rule summary from the TikTok connector: Needs 1 video, or up to 35 photos. Max 2200 characters. Unaudited apps can only post privately. Use "Send to TikTok inbox as a draft" to finish in the app. No follow-up comments.

TikTok settings the agent can use

These go in channels[].settings of schedule_post. ChatGPT learns them from get_channel_rules, so you can just describe what you want.

Set up ChatGPT

Tips for TikTok posts written with ChatGPT

• Tell ChatGPT who the post is for and what you want people to do. "Write a TikTok post for small shop owners that asks them to book a demo" works better than "write a post".
• Start the chat with a few lines about your tone and the words to use or avoid. ChatGPT writes the text itself, so it needs this to sound like you.
• Ask for 2 or 3 versions and pick 1. It is faster than asking for changes 5 times.
• Say "save as drafts" when you want to check the posts on the calendar before they are scheduled.
• Add 1 detail only you know, like a real number from your business or a customer question. It makes the post yours.
