Build on Postozo
Schedule posts from your own code, AI apps, scripts and automation tools. Everything here works on every plan, and every example was run against the real server.
What you can use
| Tool | Use it for | Address |
|---|---|---|
| Public API | Create, move and read posts, upload media, read channels and statistics from your own code. Same paths as the Postiz public API. | https://app.postozo.com/public/v1 |
| MCP server | Let AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor plan and schedule posts. Up to 20 tools and 2 prompts. | https://app.postozo.com/mcp |
| Webhooks | Get a signed message at your address when a post goes live, fails or is approved. 8 events. | Settings, Webhooks |
| Command line (CLI) | Post from a terminal, a shell script or a CI job. Also runs a local MCP server for Claude Desktop. | npm install -g https://postozo.com/downloads/postozo-cli.tgz |
| OAuth for apps | Let people sign in to your app with their Postozo account instead of pasting a key. | https://app.postozo.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server |
Start in 3 steps
- Sign in at
https://app.postozo.comand connect at least 1 channel. To try things without a real account, add the practice channel offered on the welcome screen. - Open Settings, then Developers, and copy the API key. It starts with
pz_live_. Only owners and admins see this tab's key. - Send your first request:
curl "https://app.postozo.com/public/v1/integrations" \
-H "Authorization: pz_live_YOUR_KEY"
The answer lists your channels. Copy a channel id and follow the API guide to schedule a post, or read the full API reference.

Which 1 should I use?
- You write code or use n8n, Make or Zapier: the public API. It is plain JSON over HTTPS. See the n8n, Make and Zapier guides.
- You want an AI app to do the work: the MCP server. Setup steps for each app are on the AI agents pages, for example Claude and Cursor.
- You want to react to what happens: webhooks. For example, post a message in your team chat when a post fails, or mark a task done when the client approves.
- You live in a terminal or CI: the CLI. 1 command posts to many channels, with comments and pictures.
- You build an app for other people: OAuth, so each person signs in with their own account.
Plans and limits
The API, MCP server, webhooks and CLI are in every plan: Standard, Team, Pro and Ultimate, and the 7-day trial. There is no extra charge for API use. Webhooks per workspace: Standard 2, Team 10, Pro 30 and Ultimate 10,000. The API allows 90 post creations an hour per workspace; see rate limits for the rest. When a trial ends without a plan (or a cancelled plan ends), API calls answer 401 "No subscription found" until a plan is picked. When the 7 day grace after a failed payment is over, they answer 402 until the payment goes through. MCP tool calls get the same message; see errors. Compare plans on the pricing page.
How these docs are checked
The reference is written as data (1 file) and the same data makes the OpenAPI file. The MCP tool list and the webhook event list are read from the server code when the site is built. A script sends every example on these pages to a real Postozo server and checks the status and the fields of each answer; the last run was in September 2026. If you find a difference between these pages and what the server does, email support@postozo.com.
Good to know
- A post is never sent twice. Postozo records each attempt before it calls a network. If the network does not answer, it looks for the post on the network, and if it cannot tell, it marks the post "could not confirm" and asks a person, instead of sending it again.
- Errors come with plain words and a fix, for example "Shorten the text for this channel, then retry."
- Times are ISO 8601. Answers are in UTC. See dates and time zones.
- Read more about the product side on API and MCP.
Questions
Is the API included in my plan?
Yes. The public API, the MCP server, webhooks and the command line tool are part of every plan (Standard, Team, Pro and Ultimate) and of the 7-day trial. Only the number of webhooks changes with the plan.
Where do I find my API key?
In the app at https://app.postozo.com, open Settings, then the Developers tab. Only owners and admins of a workspace can see or rotate the key.
Does it work with Postiz scripts?
Yes. The public API uses the same paths, the same Authorization header and the same bodies as the Postiz public API. Change the base URL and the key, and most Postiz scripts, n8n nodes and Make or Zapier steps work as they are.
Is there an SDK?
No. The API is plain HTTPS and JSON, so any language works. For AI apps use the MCP server, and for the terminal use the postozo command line tool. The OpenAPI file can generate a client in most languages.
Can I post to a channel of a client I manage?
Yes. Every channel in the workspace can be used, and customers group the channels by client. A key belongs to 1 workspace; make a key in each workspace you want to use.
