Get your key
In the app, open Settings, Developers. Copy your API key, or let an AI app sign in with OAuth instead.
Pick how to connect
Call the public API over HTTP, run the postozo command line tool, or add the MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP app.
Check before you post
Ask for a channel's rules or check a post against every channel before saving it, the same checks the editor runs.
Listen for events
Add a webhook for the events you need. Each call is signed with HMAC and retried up to 6 times, with a delivery log.
Example: posts from an AI chat
A consultant adds the MCP server to Claude. She writes: "Plan 3 LinkedIn posts about our new course for next week and put them in my free slots." Claude lists her channels, finds free slots, checks each post against LinkedIn's rules and schedules them. She sees them on the calendar and edits 1 before it goes out. A webhook tells her CRM when each post is published.
Tips to get more from it
- Read a channel's rules through the API, or use the check_post tool over MCP, before you create posts from a script, so you catch the same problems the editor would show.
- Store the API key as a secret in your automation tool. Rotate it if it ever ends up in a log.
- Use the find free slot tool so posts from scripts and AI apps respect the posting times your team set.
