How Dribbble counts characters

The post text becomes the shot description. Postozo allows up to 10,000 characters. The shot title is a separate required setting.

Among the 23 networks with a counter here, Dribbble has the 11th shortest of 14 different limits. Lemmy and Nostr have the same limit of 10,000. Shorter is not worse: it only changes how you write. A long limit means the first lines matter most, because that is what people see before they open the post.

This counter counts each character (Unicode code point), the same way Postozo checks it before saving.

Posts a shot. Needs a title and exactly 1 image (PNG, JPG or GIF, exactly 400x300 or 800x600 pixels, max 8 MB). The text is the shot description. Up to 12 tags. No video. No follow-up comments.
