PostozoHow to connect LinkedIn to Postozo
Sign in with LinkedIn, pick your LinkedIn Pages and start scheduling. This guide shows each screen in Postozo, what LinkedIn asks for, and how to fix common errors.
What you need before you start
- For a Company Page: the Super admin or Content admin role on that Page. Other roles (for example Analyst) cannot post.
- For your own profile: just your LinkedIn account. Use the LinkedIn profile tile.
- The LinkedIn account you sign in with must be the one that holds the Page role.
LinkedIn uses a sign-in button (called OAuth). You never share your LinkedIn password with Postozo.
Connect LinkedIn step by step
Step 1. Open Add Channel
Sign in to Postozo. On the Calendar, press Add Channel at the top of the channel list. A window opens with a tile for every network. Find the LinkedIn Page tile and press it. Each tile also has a How to connect link that opens this guide.
If the tile says Coming soon on this server, the server you use has not added its LinkedIn app keys yet. Ask the person who runs your Postozo server. On postozo.com this is done for you.
Step 2. Sign in on LinkedIn
Postozo sends you to LinkedIn to sign in. This screen belongs to LinkedIn, so we cannot show it here. What you will see:
- LinkedIn opens and asks you to sign in if you are not signed in yet.
- LinkedIn shows what Postozo will be allowed to do. LinkedIn does not let you untick single permissions, so press Allow.
Postozo checks that these permissions were given, because posting fails without them:
- Create posts for the Pages you manage
- Manage your Pages and see their details
You never type your LinkedIn password into Postozo. LinkedIn sends you back with a sign-in that Postozo stores encrypted.
Step 3. Pick your LinkedIn Pages
For LinkedIn Page, Postozo lists every Page where you have a role, with the role next to the name. Pages where you are Super admin or Content admin can be ticked. Tick 1 or more. The LinkedIn profile tile adds your own profile, so there is no list.
LinkedIn Pages that are already connected show a green Connected label and cannot be ticked again. If your plan has a channel limit, the list shows how many you can still add, and stops you from ticking more. Press Add when you are done. Press Cancel to stop without adding anything.
Step 4. Check the new channel
Back on the Calendar, the new channel shows in the channel list on the left, with a small LinkedIn badge on its picture. A message at the bottom says it is connected. You can now pick it in the post editor.
Step 5. Set your preferences
Press the 3 dots next to the channel to open its menu. From here you can set Preferences (default settings for every new post on this channel, like Post images as a carousel), edit time slots, move the channel to a customer, reconnect, turn it off or delete it.
Common errors and how to fix them

| "You are not a Super admin or Content admin of any LinkedIn Page" | Ask a Super admin of the Page to give you 1 of those roles under Admin tools, Manage admins. Then press Try again. |
| A Page shows "Cannot add" | Your role on that Page cannot create posts. Ask for the Super admin or Content admin role. |
| Posting to your profile works, but not to the Page | You connected LinkedIn profile. Add LinkedIn Page as its own channel. |
| "You cancelled the sign-in, or did not allow access" | You pressed Cancel or closed the LinkedIn screen. Press Try again and choose Allow. |
| "LinkedIn did not give Postozo every permission it needs" | A permission was turned off on the LinkedIn screen. The message names it. Press Try again and leave everything turned on. |
| "This sign-in link has expired" | Sign-in links last 1 hour. Start again from Add Channel. |
| "Your plan allows N channels" | You reached the channel limit of your plan. Remove a channel you do not use, or upgrade in Billing. |
How to reconnect
A sign-in can stop working, for example when you change your LinkedIn password, remove the app on LinkedIn, or lose access to a LinkedIn Page. Postozo then marks the channel with a warning, pauses its posts, and tells you by notification and email.
- Press the 3 dots next to the channel.
- Press Reconnect channel.
- Sign in on LinkedIn again with the same account.
- Postozo finds the same LinkedIn Page again on its own. You do not need to pick it again.
Reconnect keeps the channel, its posts, time slots and preferences. If you sign in with a different account, Postozo stops and tells you, so posts never go to the wrong account. If the LinkedIn Page is no longer on that account, you see a message that says so, with a Try again button.
How to disconnect LinkedIn
Press the 3 dots next to the channel, then Delete. Postozo removes the channel and deletes its stored sign-in right away. Upcoming and draft posts for that channel are removed too. Posts that are already live stay on LinkedIn. You need the admin or owner role in your workspace to delete a channel.

Want to pause instead? Choose Disable Channel in the same menu. Its posts wait until you turn it back on.

Can I connect my profile and my Company Page?
Yes. They are 2 different channels. Add LinkedIn profile for yourself and LinkedIn Page for each Company Page.
How long does the LinkedIn connection last?
LinkedIn sign-ins last about 60 days. Postozo renews them in the background when LinkedIn allows it, and tells you if you need to reconnect.
Can a Content admin connect a Page?
Yes. LinkedIn lets Super admins and Content admins create posts for a Page.
Does connecting LinkedIn cost extra?
No. There is no extra charge per network. Each connected LinkedIn Page counts as 1 channel toward the channel limit of your plan.
What if the LinkedIn tile says Coming soon on this server?
The server you use has no LinkedIn app keys yet. The server admin adds them in Admin, Networks.
