How Bluesky counts characters

Bluesky allows 300 characters. Bluesky counts what you see as 1 character (a grapheme). This counter counts code points, which is the same for normal text and can be higher for some emoji, so if the counter says it fits, it fits.

Among the 23 networks with a counter here, Bluesky has the 2nd shortest of 14 different limits. Shorter is not worse: it only changes how you write. Short limits reward 1 clear idea per post.

This counter counts each character (Unicode code point), the same way Postozo checks it before saving.
