PostozoHow to connect Facebook to Postozo
Sign in with Facebook, pick your Pages and start scheduling. This guide shows each screen in Postozo, what Facebook asks for, and how to fix common errors.
What you need before you start
- A personal Facebook account that can manage at least 1 Facebook Page. You post to Pages, not to your personal profile or to groups.
- Facebook access to each Page with permission to create content. Full control works too. You can check this in the Page settings under Page access.
- If your Pages belong to a business portfolio (Meta Business Suite), you need access to those Pages inside the portfolio as well.
Facebook uses a sign-in button (called OAuth). You never share your Facebook password with Postozo.
Connect Facebook step by step
Step 1. Open Add Channel
Sign in to Postozo. On the Calendar, press Add Channel at the top of the channel list. A window opens with a tile for every network. Find the Facebook Page tile and press it. Each tile also has a How to connect link that opens this guide.
If the tile says Coming soon on this server, the server you use has not added its Facebook app keys yet. Ask the person who runs your Postozo server. On postozo.com this is done for you.
Step 2. Sign in on Facebook
Postozo sends you to Facebook to sign in. This screen belongs to Facebook, so we cannot show it here. What you will see:
- Facebook opens in the same tab and asks you to continue as your name. Check it is the right Facebook account.
- Facebook asks which Pages to share with Postozo. Choose every Page you want to post to. Pages you leave out will not show up in the list later.
- Facebook then lists the permissions. Leave them all turned on and press Save or Continue.
Postozo checks that these permissions were given, because posting fails without them:
- Show a list of the Pages you manage
- Create and manage content on your Page
- Read content posted on the Page
You never type your Facebook password into Postozo. Facebook sends you back with a sign-in that Postozo stores encrypted.
Step 3. Pick your Pages
Back in Postozo, a list shows every Page you manage, with its name, username and category. Tick 1 or more Pages. Each Page becomes its own channel, so an agency can add 10 client Pages in 1 go. A Page you can see but not post on is shown greyed out with the reason.
Pages that are already connected show a green Connected label and cannot be ticked again. If your plan has a channel limit, the list shows how many you can still add, and stops you from ticking more. Press Add when you are done. Press Cancel to stop without adding anything.
Step 4. Check the new channel
Back on the Calendar, the new channel shows in the channel list on the left, with a small Facebook badge on its picture. A message at the bottom says it is connected. You can now pick it in the post editor.
Step 5. Set your preferences
Press the 3 dots next to the channel to open its menu. From here you can set Preferences (default settings for every new post on this channel, like Link preview URL), edit time slots, move the channel to a customer, reconnect, turn it off or delete it.
Common errors and how to fix them

| "You are not an admin of any Facebook Page" | Your account manages no Pages, or you did not share any Page on the Facebook screen. Press Try again and turn on every Page. If you really have no access, ask the Page admin to add you under Page access. |
| A Page shows "Cannot add" | You can view the Page but not post. Ask a Page admin to give you access with permission to create content. |
| A Page is missing from the list | Facebook only shares the Pages you ticked. Press Try again, and on the Facebook screen choose Edit access (or Edit settings) and turn that Page on. |
| "You cancelled the sign-in, or did not allow access" | You pressed Cancel or closed the Facebook screen. Press Try again and choose Allow. |
| "Facebook did not give Postozo every permission it needs" | A permission was turned off on the Facebook screen. The message names it. Press Try again and leave everything turned on. |
| "This sign-in link has expired" | Sign-in links last 1 hour. Start again from Add Channel. |
| "Your plan allows N channels" | You reached the channel limit of your plan. Remove a channel you do not use, or upgrade in Billing. |
How to reconnect
A sign-in can stop working, for example when you change your Facebook password, remove the app on Facebook, or lose access to a Page. Postozo then marks the channel with a warning, pauses its posts, and tells you by notification and email.
- Press the 3 dots next to the channel.
- Press Reconnect channel.
- Sign in on Facebook again with the same account.
- Postozo finds the same Page again on its own. You do not need to pick it again.
Reconnect keeps the channel, its posts, time slots and preferences. If you sign in with a different account, Postozo stops and tells you, so posts never go to the wrong account. If the Page is no longer on that account, you see a message that says so, with a Try again button.
How to disconnect Facebook
Press the 3 dots next to the channel, then Delete. Postozo removes the channel and deletes its stored sign-in right away. Upcoming and draft posts for that channel are removed too. Posts that are already live stay on Facebook. You need the admin or owner role in your workspace to delete a channel.
To also remove Postozo from your Facebook account, open the connected apps settings on Facebook and remove it there. See Facebook help: give people access to your Page.
Want to pause instead? Choose Disable Channel in the same menu. Its posts wait until you turn it back on.

Questions
Can I post to my personal Facebook profile?
No. Facebook only lets apps post to Pages. Personal profiles and groups cannot be connected.
Can I add many Pages at once?
Yes. Tick every Page you want in the list. Each one becomes a separate channel, and each counts toward your plan limit.
Do I need to be the Page owner?
No. You need Facebook access to the Page with permission to create content. Full control also works.
Does connecting Facebook cost extra?
No. There is no extra charge per network. Each connected Page counts as 1 channel toward the channel limit of your plan.
What if the Facebook tile says Coming soon on this server?
The server you use has no Facebook app keys yet. The server admin adds them in Admin, Networks.
